The Light of Christ
I am Alexx (16 years old) and came to faith in 2023! After a difficult childhood in which bullying, inappropriate boundaries, and a challenging home situation played a major role, I was searching for a place that would bring me peace. When I lost a close family member in 2023, my life fell apart even further than before. I felt hopeless and lost until one evening it struck me that my great-grandmother would have wanted so much to see me with Christ. That evening I prayed until tears streamed down my cheeks, praying to a God I did not know, asking Him for a sign. After that prayer, I began noticing the typical, little things: crosses by front doors, pendants in cars, ... and I quietly realized this was the answer to my prayer. I certainly did not become a practicing Christian overnight, but from that day forward I truly accepted Him as my savior. Since early 2025, I stand much stronger in faith and seek to contribute to His kingdom. He lifted all the weight from my shoulders that I had carried from the past, and showed me the light I had been searching for for so long.
